Dr Omosivie Maduka, President MWAN Rivers State participated in the launching of the RIVERS STATE INTEGRATION OF DISEASE SCREENING AND SERVICE DELIVERY FOR HB/HIV/COVID-19 by the Ministry of Health in Collaboration with the US Center for Disease Control (CDC), Dr Mary Boyd and the Deputy Director Susan Theroux and the Project Director IHVN Rivers, Dr Olayemi Olupitan, Dr Nera Kadiri-Eneh Senoir Program Officer KNCV and Dr Ufuoma Edewor, HIV-AIDS Program Manager RSMoH were also part of the event.

Dr Tomba Martins-Yellowe is the Media personality of the week. She provided health awareness on stroke at classic FM on Thursday 28th October, 2021. Classic FM Port=Harcourt is a privately owned commercial radio station that targets the upward mobile over the age group who are the high profile consumers in the local economy.

MWAN Rivers provided free health screening at the African Women Lawyers Association Parley held on wednesday 27th october 2021. Team was led by Dr Cecilia Nwibubasa(President-Elect MWAN Rivers). A total of 42 persons benefitted from blood pressure, blood sugar and body mass index measurements along with risk assessment and counselling services.

Dr Vetty Agala (Immediate Past President) and Dr Vivian Ogbonna (State Secretary) represented MWAN Rivers at the Rivers State Ministry of Health RMNCAH-N score card meeting on Thursday 28th October, 2021. They gave the group updates on MWAN MNCH projects such as the violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG) response project, the MWAN adopt a mother (MAAM) project and support for MNCH service delivery at woji PHC.
