2020 MWAN Week Thanksgiving Service
The 2020 MWAN Week and 35th Anniversary of MWAN Rivers State kicked off with a Thanksgiving Service at The Redeemed Evangelical Mission (TREM) Elekahia, today 4th October 2020.
Prayers were offered in thanksgiving for sustenance over the years and for a successful week.
The service was graced with the presence of the NMA Chairman Prof. Chizindu Alikor and wife, NMA Secretary, Dr. Famba Daniel Famba, PUMSA President, Femi Rotifa and beautiful noble medical women.
MWAN…healing with the love of a mother.
2020 MWAN Week Community Outreach
The 2020 MWAN Week and 35th Coral Anniversary celebrations, continued with an outreach to Woji Community at the adopted health facility.
Health education and IEC materials were given to women on breast and cervical cancer.
Clinical breast examination and cervical cancer screening with visual acetic acid was done for over 60 women ranging from 27 – 75 years. In addition, medical consultations and medications were provided for various gynaecological, obstetric and general medical conditions.
Worthy of note was the collaboration with the National Association of Nigerian Nurses and Midwives (NANNM).
In attendance were 15 medical women spanning the MWAN Rivers President, Past Presidents, Senior Members and Young Doctors.
