Week 14: 23RD TO 29TH JAN 2022
The Young Doctors’ Forum Of MWAN Rivers, led by Dr Ireju Ajie, the YDF Coordinator organised a Mentorship Masterclass on on Handling Personal Finances. The session held on 29th January 2022 and was facilitated by Dr Claribel Abam and Dr Nnesochi Offor, seasoned medical women with a track record of financial prudence and expertise.
OUTREACH
MWAN Rivers volunteered services at a Medical Outreach that was held at NBA House, Port Harcourt which provided medical care including BP, blood glucose and BMI checks, to about 152 lawyers who were present at the NBA January Monthly General Meeting on 27th January 2022.
UPCOMING: WORLD CANCER DAY
Every 4th of February the world commemorates World Cancer Day. . The theme for 2022 World Cancer Day is ‘Close the Care Gap’.
To mark this date, the Rivers State Ministry of Health in partnership with MWAN Rivers and the Clinton Health Access Initiative is organising a public webinar on Saturday, Feb 5, 2022, by 12:00 noon

The program was virtual and was well-attended by
92 young doctors and older ones as well. It was an enlightening experience that generated robust conversation aimed at correcting wrong mindsets about personal finances, and imbibing the right ones.
EVENT
The funeral of the father of Dr Margaret Hart, Late Pa Howells Dan-Jumbo held at Bonny Island on 29th January 2022. Drs Tomina George and Justina Jumbo represented MWAN Rivers at the event.
